Pain

The left side of my neck down into my shoulder is once again very sore. I put heat on it last night, and had Daughter rub some muscle rub into it. I took arthritis tylenol at bedtime, and the pain still woke me up a little after 3:00. It took me a while to figure out how to get out of bed with the least amount of pain. I finally managed to get up, and put a heat wrap on it. At 5:30 I gave up on sleep and got up. I'm waiting for my stomach medicine to begin to work, and then I'm going to eat something and take ibuprofen.
.
The priority this morning is going to be making some more phone calls and finding a doctor. There is an urgent care place not far from here, and if the ibuprofen doesn't give me some relieve, I may check it out today. I'm beginning to wonder if I've somehow damaged my shoulder. Hopefully the ibuprofen will help ease the pain. There is still so much that needs to be done around here....

I hope you feel better. Your body has been through a lot these past few weeks! Treat it well. Get a massage. :-)

Blessings!

My MIL had a similar bout with shoulder pain caused by a torn rotator cuff. There are all kinds of reasons why your shoulder could be hurting, including heavy lifting and stress.
I hurt my neck, shoulder and left arm by twisting around and reaching up to change the dome light bulb in my car when I was pregnant with my eldest son. I couldn't take medication or the doctor would have given me a muscle relaxant, as he has for subsequent similar injuries. Moist heat, a cervical collar and a sling to keep my arm immobilized did the trick after about ten frustrating days (and nights of sleeping in a reclining chair).
I think you should see a doctor ASAP and delay and further work on the house until your shoulder is okay again. Moving is awful anyway and it's worse if you're in pain.

Thank you both. I've begun to wonder if this might be a torn rotator cuff. I've tracked down a family practice group for us. Daughter will see a young woman, and I will see a man who has specialized training in manipulation for neck and back pain. Unfortunately, we won't see them until the 29th. I'm still considering a trip to urgent care later today. I'm putting off the work in the garage, until I'm in less pain. For now, I'm going to pack up my computer and head over to the church. I'll do some more unpacking, and I want to get my computer on the network. When I start Monday, I'll be alone in the office, so I need to figure out how to get on the network today.

I'd use White Flower Embrocation when the arthritis in my shoulder becomes intolerable. Generally the pain is manageable within 12 hours. I would like to share this with you and you may order directly from embrocation.cwahi.net
