Apologies

Daughter has been very apologetic for her behavior of late. Very apologetic. As in, every third sentence out of her mouth is an apology. I never knew that apologies could be so annoying. I hope none of you ever have an opportunity to discover how annoying apologies are.
.
I have a sinus infection. It's Christmas week, so that's not unusual. Not feeling good puts me one edg, which makes the constant apologies even more annoying. I finally suggested I was tired of the words, and wanted to see actions to back them up. Daughter has an appointment with her new psychiatrist today. I wonder if there's a pill he can give her for being annoying....

I hope you feel better soon.
Sinus infections are exhausting. They sap one's energy more than any other affliction I've experienced, except for walking pneumonia. Yuck!
You deserve to lie down under a snug comforter and take a real nap. Resting in a chair doesn't satisfy like a nap.
As for the constant apologies, you're right-- they don't mean anything without action to back it up. Your DD probably feels anxious because she knows you're irritated with her and she wants everything to be all better. But without putting in any effort on her part.
I feel for you, I really do. I hope your DD turns it around, as you say. Does she like her program? It sounds like there's less drama there than there was in her former one.

Thanks, Miz Kizzle,
As you can see, I am feeling better. I'm going to write a post about Daughter's program. It's good for her. It's good for me.
